What time do you think is to late for a babysitter to stay?
We have a surprise party on a Friday night and my orginal thought was stay overnight at my moms that way DH and I could put the kids to bed. Now I am thinking that DS might be cramped in the pack-n-play (he is 35 inches tall) and he doesn't sleep in a bed yet. I did find a local babysitter and I was going to see if she was availble. She is in her 40's I think and is a mother's helper for my friend who has 3 kids so I know she could handle my two and Luka seems to like her. The only problem is that she would need to put the kids to sleep and then I don't know what time is to late. I was thinking the absoulte lastest we would be home is 1am. Do you think that is to late? I do plan on asking her what she thinks but I wanted to see what everyone thought.

I would just stay overnight at your folks house and have your DS sleep in the PNP. That way, if you want to stay out later, you can without having to worry about the sitter.

when I was 16 I used to babysit for 3 kids until that time when their parents went out to a wedding or something. Ask the babysitter if its a problem for her.

Talk to the babysitter. When I had my sister's 30'th, she stayed until 2am.

While I certainly do not think 1:00 AM is too late, you really need to ask her if she is OK with it. Jeremy has slept in a PnP as recently as early March. He was absolutely fine (in length. He and Luca are about the same size. Additionally, if you leave the kids at your moms, you could sleep in on Saturday morning

I babysat a lot in high school. For one couple, they used to go out almost every sat night and I would stay at their house until 2 or 3am. I would put the kids to bed and then I would lie down on the couch in their living room. They had no problem with me falling asleep because they were out so late.
I would just ask her what the latest time she is comfortable staying until.

I used to just fall asleep at the peoples' house when I was a teenager too! I do not think 1 am is too late at all
