What time to start thanksgiving dinner
I was wondering when everyone usually starts their thanksgiving dinner. I'm hosting this year and we're having a Lasagna first followed by the turkey but I'm not sure when to start heating things up or when to start serving the Lasagna. Can anyone tell me when they usually start eating if you have more than one course.
TIA

I'm asking people to arrive around 2-2:30, and will serve dinner at 4.

Re: What time to start thanksgiving dinner
my family starts at like 7pm. DH's family is usually around 1pm. Have you done thanksgiving with the group you are having this year before? I guess start it the same time it had been done other years. I'm not much help! Sorry!

Re: What time to start thanksgiving dinner
thanks for all the help.
Last year everything was so chaotic and the food wasn't warmed up long enough and most of the items were cold. Just trying to make this holiday a little better. thanks again,

Re: What time to start thanksgiving dinner
Well, what time are they coming over? People are coming to my mom's at 1-1:30, and she is planning to serve dinner around 3.
Heating stuff up really depends on how much & what you have. Lasagna will stay warm awhile, but mashed potatoes will get cool quickly.
