My 16 month old ds won't keep a hat or sunglasses on. Any ideas of anything else to keep the sun out of his eyes? Thanks!!

I have twins & am having trouble with one of my sons also. I have been trying the fishermans hat with velcro around chin. So far it's lasting about 1 hour at time

i've been looking for a hat with a velcro chin strap because that is the only way he kept his winter hat on. unfortunately DS has a big head and i need to get him the 2-3T size, but the toddler hats don't come with a strap! I don't know what to do either! Wish I had a better idea!

One of my 19m old twins will NOT wear a hat and takes hats and glasses off her sister.
Lots of sunscreen and keep trying is my resolution. The velcro does not work for us either.
All winter she was hatless

19mo DD is a pain with hats. She also doesn't have enough hair yet to cover her head, so she needs hats (putting sunscreen on her scalp is just gross cause it gets all caked in the hair she has)
She LOVES going outside, so I would tell her that to go outside she needed to put on her shoes and hat (in the winter, we also say jacket). The hat goes on and we go outside. If she takes the hat off, inside we go, and I tell her "if you want to stay outside, you need to keep your hat on". It seems to be working because she is much better with lightweight sun hats (she will never wear heavy hats like cute fedoras or baseball style hats). She wore a sun hat with chin tie from Hanna Anderson for 3+ hours on Saturday, which was a huge victory.
