What to do in DC if shutdown doesn't end...
We are going on an all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. Next weekend. However, if this shutdown doesn't end, all the museums and things will be closed. What other things are there to do? (We won't have a car so well either be walking or cabbing it)

I believe some museums that are not part of the Smithsonian are still open - newseum, spy museum, etc. but these won't be free.

Can you reschedule? There are things to do that aren't government run/funded but there is a lot you would be missing out on.

They have a decent subway system (if it's open-don't see how it couldn't be open).
The spy museum was fun.
