What to do Saturday night? Recs please
We dont get out much anymore and Im soooooo TIRED of dinner and the movies. We have a sitter and we are going to go to dinner, but I dont know what to do after that. I checked out the comedy clubs and they dont have anyone we want to see (although Jim Breuer is performing but we JUST saw him).
What to do, what to do? Something where DH and I can interact and have some fun? No out dancing at a bar either. Im stumped.....

1.Bowling? I have fun with Dh when we go bowling.
2.A lounge, where you can sit and have some drinks.
3.Playing pool

Bowling
Oh god no, not bowling. I should have mentioned that my DH and my ILs are HUGE bowlers, several leagues, DH was on the bowling team at St Johns
My DS is obsessed, we bowl ALL day, we watch bowling on TV ALL day long.

What about a drive thru car wash. Whenever we get bored with dinner and a movie we do a drive thru car wash and make out like love struck teenagers during that three minutes. Yea I know were losers but hey atleast we still make out. LOL!!! Seriously though what about a Blues club, or catching a show at one of the Long Island theaters. I went to a hot yoga class the other night and want to bring DH with me to one of them. I think he'd have lotsa fun and it's very relaxing.
Don't know if this is your thing though!

Re: What to do Saturday night? Recs please
What about dinner at one of those fondue places? I'm trying to come up with some date-type things for me and the hubs over the next week or so, too, and I'm also tired of the movies and dinner, but fondue seems like it never gets old But that's all I could come up with so far. That's sad. When in doubt, we love to just go out and browse places like Ikea, target, barnes and nobles, etc. It's relaxing doing it on our own time and now with Ava in tow. Not that she's bad in the store or anything, but we can just wander and talk and hold hands, etc. I'll keep thinking!

Re: What to do Saturday night? Recs please
This weekend is Valentines so there are tons of special events. If some of the things are too $$$ they can be done on other weekends as well. We love to remain active so I'm always on the hunt for things to do.... Here's some ideas
Vanderbilt Museum - has dinner & light show special for V-day -light show other nights
Mellville Mariott- has murder mystery dinner show this weekend for Vday- you can stay over night as a treat -182.00 includes room, champagne, stawberries, dinner &show
Empire Casino has special V-day dinner- it's also a close drive to play some slots on a Sat. night
Wineries- have some-Vday specials that include dinner, music, wine & cheese
Freeport has the gambling boat for a different Sat. night out. They also have seal watching during the day for 29pp. It's cold but fun.
Couples spa date - Vday or any other weekend-hands on healthcare in Commack has some nice specials
Comedy Clubs Ice/Roller Skating Dave and Busters-play some games
Swimming- local pools have sauna and steam rooms too - echo park, eisenhower pool
Sporting events and concerts- check Craigslist under "tickets" you can get some last minute tickets to something at a great price.
The Gym - check your local gyms - sometimes they advertise volleyball and basket ball games that non members can do for 5-10pp.
Indoor Tennis - lots of indoor courts around
I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff -but this should keep you busy for a while...lol
