what to do with a sick 1 year old

ds has now been sick for over a week... as well dh and i... and to be honest i can tell he is getting bored.. but i hate taking him out too much since he is really a disgusting mess when it comes to his nose running .... add in teething and i cant tell where the fluids are coming from... so any suggestions on what i can do with him besides the regular playtime stuff... i hate having him infront of the tv all day

can you buy him some new toys? Maybe that will cheer him up and occupy him a bit.

I just went through this--DS was sick for a little over a week, and once the worst of it had passed, he was bored (so was I frankly).

I took him for drives in the car a couple times, just to get out of the house for a bit. He seemed to like it. We also bought a couple new toys and some books so he had some new things to use. And he is almost 2, so he used crayons and blocks a bit. We had a "puppet" show with his stuffed animals too. And I tried to make a tent of sorts for him out of a sheet, but he freaked when he was under it. A lot of kids like this though, so maybe try it.

You can do pudding painting with your child, plus he'll probably like the pudding.

thanx... i will have to try some of it... he just got put on antibiotics today so hopefully he will be better by the weekend so we can actually go out
