What to serve for lunch at a playdate?

I am having 6 moms and about 12 kids (ages 2-5) over tomorrow for lunch. Chat Icon

What should I serve??
At the last playate we went to, they had pizza, so I wanted to do something different (although that is my backup).

But I did think of "make your own pizzas" for the kiddos (using english muffins) but I have no clue what to serve the moms.

Any ideas? Chat Icon

I would say wraps but that seems like a lot of work at this point. I'm sure no one would mind pizza...bread & cheese....how could you go wrong?!

I usually get wraps made up (all different ones) and some side salads.

I mac chicken nuggets or mac and cheese for the kids.

my playgroup is 9 moms and 9 kids.. If it is a lunch playdate, I do bagels, tuna, egg, and chicken salad cream cheese and then a I make a big regular salad...

I get a fruit plate and a cookie pie for dessert...

When I get sick of doing that, I order wraps or a hero from FairwayChat Icon

If it is a afternoon/dinner palydate-- we order pizza (cut into 16th's) and a salad.... very easy and simple...

I love playdates Chat Icon I will usually have out rolls/bread and cold cuts, and potato salad and maccaroni salad and make chicken nuggets and smiley fries for the kids... Some of the guests usually bring in some kind of desserts.
