What to wear on the plane?

Ladies, help me to decide what to wear on my next flight. I am going on a long flight (to Florence) and flying through Paris. I am flying 1st class (yeah miles!). I want to wear something nicer than my normal sweats and hoodie, both because of 1st class and also because people where I am headed will be more stylish, but still want to be comfy.
I was thinking something like a black jersey dress, with flip flops and a cardigan. Thoughts?

That sounds comfy. And maybe bring some nice sandals to put on when you get there.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

What about a nicer sweat suite or jogging suite? Maybe something jersey knit and some cute flip flops? I like the dress idea, but it may be uncomfortable after that long of a flight.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

I would stay comfy.. If you pair your outfit with a nice pair of shades and a nice handbag on your arm, you'll def look the part.

Have a safe flight!

I wouldn't wear a dress because I am always FREEZING cold on a plane. I would stick with pants and a cute summery top, and bring a cardigan with you. if you're going to wear flip flops, I would bring socks for the flight and a nicer pair of sandals to change into when you arrive.

I would be uncomfortable wearing a dress on a long flight. I would wear comfy slacks over a dress.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

honestly-- sitting in first class does not require a better outfit.

Planes are very cold-- so I would wear something warm-- long pants and a sweatshirt or something to throw on whatever else you are wearing.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

Thanks girls! I was thinking I might be cold in a dress too, but I thought I could bring comfy pants for while on the flight. I am mroe concerned about getting off the plane in Paris and Florence and looking schlubby, than actually while on the flight. I guess I could just change before I land, right?!

Why not just wear a nice pair of jeans, a pair of cute flats and a t-shirt? You can throw a sweater on it. First class or not, I need to be comfortable when I fly.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

Your best bet is to dress in light layers. First class will provide you with a nice, comfy blanket and slippers so I wouldn't be too concerned with being cold (unless you're someone who gets cold easily).

Wear something that breaths, won't wrinkle too easily and can be layered comfortably.

Have fun!!

Re: What to wear on the plane?

comfy jeans, embellished flats, a black blazer and a slim fit tee-

bring a sweater in your carry on
for the flight and take off the blazer and put the sweater on to relax in

when you get off the plane put the blazer back on

i have to agree - i would opt for jeans if i wasnt traveling in sweats. the last time i traveled in a skirt - i wouldnt sit anyplace because i didnt want my legs to touch anything in the airport!

This is what I usually wear. Sometimes a sweater set so I have a cardigan with me.

What about some capris or something. I have these and I love them, plus they can be dressed up or down depending on the situation.

Re: What to wear on the plane?

Can you do the jersey dress and just bring some slim sweat-type pants like yoga pants to put on underneath while you're on the plane? Then just take them off before you land. And a cardigan.
