What to wear to dh's cousin's sweet 16?
It will be at the Milleridge Inn in July. How fancy do you think DH and I should dress? I know people have weddings there, but do we need to be dressed as if we were going to a wedding? Does dh need to wear a suit or do you think a dress shirt and tie would be good enough? As for me, I'll likely be chasing my 1 year old around the dance floor, so are heels a must or could dressy flat sandals pass?
Haven't been to a sweet 16 since I was 16!

I think a dress shirt and tie is fine for DH and dressy flats are fine for you. You don't have to dress the same way you would for a wedding.

Seriously! No one cares what the adults wear. I went to one shortly after I got married & I think the men wore sports coats & no tie.
I wore the dress I wore to my rehearsal dinner & to a day wedding--so not as fancy as a wedding.

lol I had to laugh at this I went to a sweet 16 2 yrs ago and was in complete schock at the girls' dresses. all versions of the same thing super short and super tight they had to keep pulling them down
but yeah a nice spring dress with dressy flats is fine for you, its true no one is looking at the adults
