What to wear with boots that are a little above the ankle?
I wish I had a photo to post but I bought some boots that come up a little higher then the ankle - maybe 6 inches or so but do not touch the calf at all. What work-appropriate clothes can I wear those with? They looked cute with tights and a denim mini-skirt but I hate getting that dressed up on the weekend and I know that's inappropriate for the weekdays.
Opinions very much appreciated!

I have a pair of black boots like that - I wear them with jeans and black slacks.

The two pairs of boots I got this year are on the shorter side and I wear them with pants of all types...jeans, slacks whatever....

same here, i actually prefer the shorter boots for pants and stuff .

i agree with the pants. i know they are shown with dresses and skirts but i am not a fan of the look.
