What toys do you have for your babies?
This Christmas, Jared will be 6 months. I know he's still young and won't understand what Christmas really is but...what are some good developmental toys that would be good for a 6 month old?
TIA

Nate has the V-Tech toys for left and right brain development. The box says 3+ months, but I don't think he'll really understand how to play with them until about 6 months. Right now he just hits the buttons to make the music play.

I agree. My mom got a frog that's similar to the one pictured below, but the one I have has the whole alphabet on his belly. You can choose what the baby learns about by pressing either letters or colors and then you press on the letters and it sings a song about each one. It's really cute and even though it's a bit advanced for Christopher, he still loves the bright colors and hearing the songs. Image Attachment(s):

Also, an exersaucer if you don't have one. Once again, Christopher's a litte young for his, but he absolutely loves it and/or a gym mat if you don't have one of those either. I wanted to get the baby einstein one, but I didn't because it was a bit pricey. I bought the Carter's gymini instead and he LOVES it. Once again, you might have these already, but if not, they're definitely good to have.

Sarah loves the Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Puppy. Also I got her some of the FP Peek A Blocks that she is getting really good at picking up, shoving a corner in her mouth and throwing around the room. The exersaucer. She likes balls, and is pretty good at picking them up now.
She likes watching Baby Tad, but she can't figure out where to push so she gets frustrated. The puppy has a lot more places to push and they are really easy to push.
Leapfrog Learning Table. We don't have the legs on it yet, but she can play with that for 30 minutes before she gets bored.
Leapfrog Learning Ball and Learning Drum. We're taking the Learning Hoops out this weekend for DH to play with her.
Those are the main things right now. HTH! Cathy

I have the baby einstein gym, baby tad and the laugh and learn puppy. I was just wondering if there were any other toys that you girls could recommend.

I second this. My SIL has been getting these for her daughter since she was young (she's now 5) and they are great. I know Jake might still be too young this Christmas for some of them, but I plan to get him some age appropriate ones.

I agree w/ anything Leapfrog. The learning table or frog that counts.
ALso, laugh and learn from fisher price, the house, puppy. My daughter loves all of those.
