what type of baby food do you use??
beechnut? gerber? Earth's best?

It's less expensive than the rest, i like the quality and it's in glass jars.

I mostly make my own. I also use the wholesome baby food website or ideas. When I do not make it homemade I use Earth's Best.

I make my own, but in a pinch I have Earth's Best as a backup. Plus I heard I shouldn't make peas, so I bought those too.

Just out of curiosity, why have you heard not to make peas? I have made my own. The only thing I have heard to be careful about is carrots... Everyone has a different story apparently!

I make my own. I started with the Fresh Baby kit and also use books by Annabel Karmel. I am also a big fan of the Wholsome Baby Food Site .

Why no peas and why no carrots?
DD HATES peas, so far it's the only thing she won't eat, I've tried mixing them with some of her favorite things but she makes faces and even gags so I gave up trying with peas.
I'm about to start carrots next week, is there a reason I shouldn't?

My ped said not to make my own carrots because of nitrates. But then I found that not evey doctor tell you this. So after unsuccessfully trying to feed DS jarred carrots, I decided to make my own and he loved them.
I am trying to find out why someone was told no peas... DS loves them!... oh well.. too late now!
