what type of coating did you put on the hardwood floors
we got 2 estimates from someone that came to look at our floor yesterday.
one for a regular polyurethane coating and the other for the moistureware something or other (I am awesome at this stuff).
the moisturesealant is $150 more, but will last a longer time.
we are RENTERS, but in a rent controlled apt that has been in dh's family for over 30 years, and will be even after we move out...
can you all tell me the pros/cons you experienced with these finishes?

they all stink and the fumes are harsh. i used poly and thank god i wasn't home. actually you aren't suppose to be in the house or walk on the floors for at least 24 hours.

The company that did our floors did a regular high-gloss poly.
