What type of questions do I ask the pediatrician when I go to interview him

My friend highly recommended her pediatrician. She worked in a pediatricians office for 2 years and was pretty familiar with how a practice should function.

So I am going on August 20 to do a meet and greet with the doctor. When I spoke to the gal on the phone she said it's about 30 minutes and basically it's I sit and talk with him, see the office and just get to know him.

What kind of questions do I ask? My friend told me that her son got his Hep shot at the hospital and then gets his first round of immunizations at 2 months old. I have no idea what that even means

Definitely ask about the immunization schedule. Do a search here to look through all the discussions about them. Some Drs will give multiple shots in a day, and some Drs do not. Also you need to know what your comfort level is with immunizations.

Do they have a separate waiting area for newborns/non-immunized children?

Do they have a "sick" waiting room?

What are their emergency hours/availability?

Is there an additional fee for after hours care?

What is their policy on prescribing meds when the child is ill? What is their approach to medicine in general? (Home remedy/homeopathic/natural healing vs. all medicinal)

Do they do bloodwork and cultures in the office, or do they send you out to a lab?

Is this Dr affiliated with/have rights at the hospital you are delivering?

Is there more than one Dr in the practice?

Is this Dr affiliated with/have rights at the hospital you are delivering?
And the answer is yes. I know this because my doctor gave me a list of doctors affiliated with the hospital I am delivering at and his name is on there. Plus my friend told me she saw him at the hospital when she delivered.
