what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
It is just about time for me to start planning DD 1st b-day and I am not sure of a theme. Since she is only going to be 1 she doesnt have much input on this so I get to pick it.
Please post pics too if you have any!. TIA

Re: what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
We did a cupcake theme. I got the party goods/decorations from Birthday Express
I have the following if you want to borrow:
High chair decorations (pic below) 4 Foot Inflatable cupcake http://www.birthdayexpress.com/Airblown-Inflatable-Cupcake-Pink/41053/PartyItemDetail.aspx
I also have 6 pink 1st b-day balloons and 18 plain lavender ones with curling ribbon if you (or anyone else) want them. They are just collecting dust in my closet!
Cake amd Cupcakes made by a fellow LIFer
You can see the inflatable cupcake in this pic
I just did streamers and balloons with matching table cloth in the dining room.

Re: what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
My DD's birthday is at the end of October so we are going to have a costume party and do a Halloween or fall theme. I am leaning more towards fall decorations, but we are inviting everyone, kids and adults, to wear costumes if they would like.

They sell the giant Cupcake pan at Michael's. I am sure Cupcakes Catering could do cute ones too!

For John it was a Disney theme, but nothing overboard, just the centerpieces were stuffed disney charactors
And the cake was Mickey
Joey will have a circus themed 1st birthday in October

Re: what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
For my older DD we did a luau theme. I purchased nearly all of the decorations, etc. from Oriental Trading. Here was the invitation...
For my younger DD we had a "May flowers" theme. Here's her invitation...
Here was the design for the decorations/paper goods from partyexpress.com
And here were some pictures of the day... Abby's 1st b-day party

Re: what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
DD won't be 1 until December, but I think I am going to do a musical theme. She loves music and instruments, so I'm thinking of having lots of instruments for her to play with, different songs to play, and maybe a microphone set up for people to sing (in general, or to her--she smiles so much when you sing to her.)

Re: what was your DD 1st b-day party theme
Is it strange to do Winnie the Pooh for a girl? That is her nursery theme and she loves Pooh and Tigger. But I love seeing all the pink and purple too!
