What week are you telling your job?
At what week will you tell your job? Will you also give them a letter of notification for your due dates and your expected leave? How do you feel about this disclosure?

Re: What week are you telling your job?
I told my building I was prego at 12 weeks. I will not give my formal letter of intention until I am 30 weeks. They have to find a leave replacement for me so I figured that would give them enough time.

Re: What week are you telling your job?
i guess it all depends where u work. I was literally 3 weeks 6 days pregnant when i told them. Im a dental hygienist and administer nitrous. that day i had a patient who required nitrous oxide. I had to tell the office why i couldnt administer it and why i was taking xrays with a shield covering my belly.
If i worked in a reg office where it wouldnt have interfered with my pregnancy i would have waited till 12 weeks.

Re: What week are you telling your job?
My bosses knew I was doing IVF, so I told them as soon as my BFP was confirmed by bloodwork. The rest of the office I will tell at probably 10 weeks. I'm pg with twins so I don't think I'll be able to hide it as long as I'd like.

Re: What week are you telling your job?
I waitress so I had to tell my job right away. The exhaustion stopped me from helping out as much as I was, the queasiness had me calling in, and during my shifts I would sit when I got a chance during exhaustion. Oh yeah, I also had to explain the random crying bits for absolutely no reason. My bosses as well as everyone I work with has been awesome!!!
I also sub, and I have not told them yet.

Re: What week are you telling your job?
I'm trying to wait as long as possible. I'll be 9 weeks on Thursday, and so far only the head of my group knows because I needed to leave here for a semi emergency dr appt and felt that I needed to let someone here know why...besides that, one of the guys I work with I think is suspicious, but I'm hoping to keep them all in the dark for a bit more...

Re: What week are you telling your job?
I told them at 12 weeks, I have not done any paperwork yet, I did tell my supervisor I don't plan on taking time before the baby, and that I want to see how much time I will have accumulated by then to take off.
