What will we need 2 of?
We're going to register soon and I am still unsure of what we will really need two of. My guesses are the following, some are obvious, but I'm sure I'm missing things:
cribs
car seats
high chairs
bouncy seats
mobiles
walkers
Do I really need need two of these:
swings - I keep hearing very often that one baby will not be interested
pack-n-play - do they make one large enough for two to share?
bathing tub

What we have/had two of:
infant car seats
convertible car seat
crib
high chairs
bouncies- but my DD outgrew hers quickly and we were in infant to toddler rockers so I'd look into those. We used them until 11 months.
mobiles... if you decide to get Tiny Love they have a multiples discount program. Call 1-800-Tiny-Love and they can help you.
We didn't have walkers. We had one jumperoo and one exersaucer and I rotated DC's back and forth.
Playmats... some girls get two. We had one and I just rotated them between that and another toy.
Exersaucer...I had two exersaucers and many use two but keep in mind they do take up a lot of room if you have a small place. They can be a lifesaver for keeping them occupied when you must cook dinner etc.
Swings... I'd get one and if they both like/need it then get a second. My kids BOTH hated the swing... I think they were the only kids who did. But they LOVED the bouncy seats and they bounced and bounced and bounced
Pack and Play... Do you mean for sleeping or playing? I think one of the girls on here had a "Twin pack and play" but I don't recall ever seeing one. I think it was Diane. I'd FM her.
When it comes to playing, it's small. We used the superyard and actual have two. They sell an extension kit it really doesn't extend it by much. I would just by two and link them together.
Bathing tub... just one. It's unsafe to do both newborns at the same time in two tubs. We never had one. I bought the teddy bear shaped sponge from BRU that goes on the bottom of the sink and bathed them in the kitchen sink up until they were 1. My advice is bathe them in the sink as long as possible. Bathing them in the bathtub really hurts my back.

I only have one swing, one exersaucer, one playmat. I rotate them through these activities. I also bought the infant to toddler rockers! They love them!
What I wish I had was a single stroller. I had to take one baby out the other day and felt like a dink with my double stroller and only one child!

I got 2 swings, both of my boys loved them and we would have been lost with only one.
2 bouncers, one exesaucer, one jumperoo, that we switched them between.
One tub, two car seats, one pack and play, they napped in it during the day.

I had two pak n plays because they quickly outgrow it and you will need it as they get older when you are going somewhere and they both need to nap.
I also have two
highchairs
boppys
cribs
dressers (for their clothes - only one changing table)
infant chairs
walkers
I never got a swing for my boys.
I only got one tub.
You will need at least 8 bottles to get through the beginning (if you are not breastfeeding).
