What winter accessories will my 1 year old need?
Hats, mittens? How many? What else. Babies/ toddlers don't wear scarves, do they?

Well if you are anything like us and lose mittens like crazy, I would get several pairs! They have toddler stretchie ones in 2 packs at Walmart for a buck. You probably want some waterproof ones in case it snows and you want to play in it. Some boots too.

G has 2 coats, both with hoods that snap or velcro b/c he refuses to wear a hat on his bald head
I got a pair of mittens that connect with clips and you put through the sleeves so they don't get lost. 
I am looking at some killer boots for him too.

I wouldnt do a scarf.. those seem to dangerous for a 1 year old.. especially if you have any animals.
I just bought my dd, nice cozy hat and mittens from gap outlet. as of now just one of each.. well see how winter goes.
eta: also has 2 coats.. in different sizes so depending on what shes wearing one will fit.
