What would you do?

I teach in Williamsburg brooklyn and my sitter is in woodside Queens. Without traffic really not a bad commute. The moring is easier. its takes about 10-15 in the morning anywhere form 15-30 in the afternoons. i have been here for 5 years and i am getting sick of the place( mainly the kids) but as i siad i have been here for 5 years so i am comfortable and they know me and i feel relaxed here.

I really want a job much closer to my sitters like in the woodside, sunnyside, maspeth area. A very sweet person who i know from this board is taking my resume to her school in Astoria for me. Now it seems that since i will be taking the streets to this school in Astoria it will be about the same time it takes me to get home from brooklyn but on the the highway.

I am so torn what to do( i am talking like i have the job havent even had an interview yet LOL) but in case i do get offered the job or a job with a similar commute. Would you stay at the school you are at and know everyone and feel comfortable but getting sick of the kids ( teach sixth and my schol is 6-12 so i cant move anywhere inthe school i am in now due to certification)and some BS thast going on there for a school where I at least will know one person and is basically the same commute? But i can hopefully teacha different grade.

Thoughts?
