What would you do?
Originally when I started the Metformin for pcos and borderline insulin resistance, Dr. Saketos told me that she wanted to see if the Met would get my body ovulating on my own without the help of clomid. Apparently I did ovulate once on my own since taking it.
Now, if she offers me the clomid tomorrow to take with the met, do you think this is the road that I should choose? I would like it if my body would ovulate on its own without the help of clomid mainly because I am scared of the side effects of the clomid with the met but on the other hand, I am scared the met will take too long to get me regular and even then, nothing is to say that I will actually get pregnant easily. Do you have any advice? I am sure my girls do! I am really confused and I would love to hear some feedback. TIA

Re: What would you do?
How long were you on the met before Oing ?
Which cycle did you O on while taking the met ?
What was your progesterone level after you ovulated ?
I am asking a lot of questions because that's how you can determine what is good for you.
I ovulate on my own, always have. I am now taking femara, not to help me ovulate but to ovulate 'stronger'. The femara is helping me produce more follicules for a stronger progesterone level. At first I was confused why I would take an ovulation inducing med when I don't need it. However, it lincreases my chances for implantation and lowers the risk of mc for me.

Re: What would you do?
I was on the Met for about 3 weeks.
I ovulated on cd 9 of my cycle. Before that , I hadnt gotten a period without provera for about 9 months but now I am on cd 37 and nothing and bfn's.
I never had my progesterone level checked after I ovulated. So I dont know.
Does this help?
