What would you do? re:DD sick or not?
So DD was sick back in June with a high fever and white spots on her throat but it wasn't strep. Ped said it was viral, we were OK to travel to Mexico. DD got better, vacation was great. We get home and DH gets sick with what appears to be the same thing. He's better. About a week later DD starts coughing. I let it go because it's not that bad. No trouble breathing, no wheezing and she was sleeping fine. Fast forward, a week later. She's still coughing. We had a trip to the mountains planned for that weekend so I take her to my family doc (dont feel like the hassle of the ped). Lungs are clear he thinks it might be allergies or post nasal drip. Gives me Zyrtec and a cough medicine. She is a lunatic bouncing off the walls on the cough medicine so I stop giving it and go back to the codeine medicine I have. Fine we take out trip to the mountains. DD is MISERABLE. Clingy, wont' eat, won't play, wants to sleep all the time. She took a 5 hours nap one day. Cough is lingering but it's nothing like it was. We get home yesterday and she seems to perk up. She started to eat a little (she's never a great eater). Slept great last nigiht. Well this morning she wouldn't eat. Then she finally ate 1&1/2 hot dogs and asked to go to bed just 3 hours after being awake. She's now napping. My question is do you think she's sick with something ridiculous like mono? Is she just maybe getting molars? I am at a loss and I hate going to the ped. because I wait forever only for them to tell me nothing is wrong 99.% of the time or that it's viral. WWYD? Wait it out or make an appointment. Thanks (sorry this is so long).

I would probably take her to the Dr. just to be checked out. I know when Jake got his molars he was just cranky, but every kid is different. I hope she feels better soon
