What would you wear? PLEASE HELP!
You're going to a wedding in Las Vegas (the couple getting married lives there. The groom is DH's cousin and you've met the bride to be once). Now you find out that 2 days before the wedding, the guys are getting together at the groom's house for a BBQ, cigars, whiskey night and the girls are going to meet up at the bride's hotel suite for champagne / drinks and then go out to dinner. I don't know any of the other women who are going out and have no idea what to wear. Please help!

Honestly, I would probably just ask someone directly (or indirectly). "Hey bride, I wasn't sure where exactly we were going. What's the dress code?" or something like that. If you aren't comfortable with that...
Can you do this:
Show up in casual clothes and say you were planning to get changed quickly there. Bring a few different options with you, see what others are wearing, and then get dressed?

Since the bride is not someone I really know at all, I don't feel comfortable reaching out to her directly and the drinks/dinner evening is the first time I will see her after we arrive in Vegas. Maybe I can have DH ask his cousin for a better idea of what to expect. . .

Wear something totally chic, like a strapless black jumpsuit and accessorize with a long necklace and earrings...its a stylish look that looks great for any occasion...and its comfy too!

I was thinking black pants and a very nice top with heels. A black jumpsuit sounds great! It is right there in the middle… not too casual and not too much either. With the right accessories, it would be the perfect look.

For a girls night on the town in Vegas, I would say dress with heels or in the very least skinny jeans and a beautiful top with heels!
And yes, in Vegas you can NOT overdressed! Women especially tend to go all out!

I think I'll wind up going with the first dress - I think it's more "middle of the road" to fit in no matter what everyone else will be wearing

Just an FYI, I got them at Lord & Taylor with 25% off for the F&F discount (which I think ends today)
