What's a great gift for 1 year old twins???
my neices' birthday is in 2 weeks...the bigger the box, the better

Do they have a yard?
If you're looking for a large gift, I'd say get them a water/sand table for outside. Or a cute Radio Flyer or Step 2 wagon would be adorable for twins. You can get ones with canopies, etc...my DD just turned 1 and LOVES her wagon! She also got a water table and loves that too.
Or a push buggy for each of them. DD also loves hers.

I agree with the Water/Sand table too.
and I got my favorite set of twins this teeter totter, i think they enjoy(ed) it

They would most likely love a basket of books. Books are my DD's favorite toys right now. The sturdy board books that are smaller, perfect for their little hands. Plus books that have fuzzy things in them!
ETA: Since they were so tiny last summer (like my DD), they likely don't have many outside toys, so any of those posted would be perfect. I loved that my DD got so many outside toys for her b-day since we had almost nothing for her and would have bought her stuff ourselves anyway.

my dd loves her push buggy (she is now 15 1/2 months old)...she sits on it and goes "vroom, vroom"
eta - she also likes to stash things in the hood (like the remote, mommy's keys, etc) oh it is BIG fun trying to find those things
