what's a job title for someone like me?
I love to meet new people
I love dealing with same people
(I don't like sales calls)
I love to schmooze
I love to learn techy stuff
I love to master techy stuff
I love to test software
I love problem solving
I love researching industry-related info, (ie: competitors and products)
I do expos and standing at tables... don't love it, my pits get sweaty... nervous.
I hate repetitive tasks (yawn)
What can I search for in job hunt??
i have no clue!
help a sister out...
Thanks for any guidance you can give.

Hmm..good qualities there!! Tough one but I will take a stab at this...I would suggest- administrative type job at a school or a research coordinator at a college/university. Maybe work in the art or IT department of a school or college?
The qualities remind me of my cousin - he loves to meet new people and he works in the financial aid office as a federal grant/scholarship coordinator..he gets to travel to conferences twice a year in Vegas and Texas, meets new students, and also is responsible for using PowerPoint for work training programs / presentations. Sometimes he goes to college fairs to help at the financial aid booths..

This sounds like my friend and she is an IT trainer. I am not sure exactly what she does but she does classes for lawyers usually and she works in a firm.

I just completed orientation last week through LIJ/North Shore and they have a whole department that does staff development & training.

The one person who lead the first day says she loves her job because she always gets to meet the new employees and discuss how great it is to work here.
There was really unbelievable positive energy in the room.
I told a couple of my co-workers from my last job about this because it would totally be right up their alley.

This sounds like something I would love to do!
OP: If you check out higheredjobs.com, there are a lot of jobs that fit the qualities you mentioned at different colleges.

how about IT sales jobs?
ETA i know you said no sales calls...but you can be a technical account manager. they deal with you once they've purchased the service...like post sales.
