Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
Why not just get an umbrella stroller? Much more convenient than a full sized stroller

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
i find Peg Perego to be better...more so bc of the wheels... very durable... i know too many ppl whose tires have cracked with the Gracos....
worth the $ i think....

According to the salesperson who helped us at BBB, the Peg Peregos DO hold the Graco car seats, but your best best is to ask. I'm pretty sure I was told that most infant car seats are compatable with most of the Peg strollers, which is another reason we chose it. I registered for a Peg stroller and carseat, but many of the 2006 models are discontinued and I may have to go back and register for the 2007 models (if they are in yet).
As far as which is better, both the Graco and the Pegs have great ratings. You really can't go wrong with either one. A lot is a matter of preference and what works for you.
The Pegs are more expensive by a bit - I'd say $100 more than your average Graco stroller but this too can vary.
Your best bet is to go to BBB or Babies-R-Us and test them out and see if you can speak to a salesperson. They were very helpful when I registered at BBB. Go on an "off" day though - maybe sometime in the evening during the week.

Most of them do hold the graco snugride, my PLiko came with an strap to hold it in place.
I have a graco and a peg, and by far i lOVE my peg 10x better. It's so much lighter, folds up compactor, but the graco has it's plus's too, it's got a huge basket, lays completely flat, has more mommy stuff holders.
I use my graco to go to the mall, parks, and people houses, i use my peg for everything else.

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
Personally, I like Peg since that's what I have
I'm sure they're very similar and totally a matter of personal preference. However, I will say, whatever you do get get get the Snap N' Go thing. You'll be sad when you have to graduate to whatever stroller you choose...trust me!

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
In my Baby Bargains book (I highly recommend this one) Graco is rated B- and Peg A. The main difference being that the authors preferred the fold of the Peg models. Both have great safety ratings.
We went to BBB this past weekend and were overwhelmed by the sheer # of strollers. I know for us the two huge concerns (other then safety) are weight of the stroller and the fold of the stroller, but we live in Manhattan and dont have a car.

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
this is what the BBB salesperson told me to do: forego the travel system all together and just get a snap & go and an umbrella stroller- we wanted something that was light weight and not bulky so we got a snap & go- whicch I LOVE and a Maclaren umbrella stroller.

I agree with your salesperson. From someone who did the Graco travel system, the Snap & Go and an umbrella stroller. I should have just got my Snap & Go and my PP Pliko Lite. My mom has my Graco travel system for her house because I don't care for it. IMO Peg Perego is better. Lighter, more compact and better qualilty. I am happy with their highchair as well......

I agree I swear, it was easier, and took less time, buying my car
Ladies, try not to stress about it too much. God, only knows what my mother wheeled me around in. It was the early 70's so it was nowhere near as cushy as some of these stroller today and I'm fine For all I can remember it could have been a shopping cart or a wheelbarrow...lol.
No child is going to need therapy because you picked stroller A over B

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
I have the peg perego car seat and stroller....LOVE the stroller....but I have love/hate feeling towards the carseat..
Biggest peeve...it is to heavy and IMO very narrow. I had to take out the bundle me because DS was barely fitting in the seat....
LOVE..the look of the seat and also how easy it is to place in and take out of stroller...
So you can see how the baby will be in the carseat..here is a pic
ETA: we also go the MClaren umbrella stroller for when he is bigger Image Attachment(s):

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
I never tried a peg, but I have the metrolite and have been very happy with it throughout all stages with DS. I picked it because it was light and it folds very easily.

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
Hey Nicole!
I wouldn't recommend the travel system, because it is so much bulkier. I say just get the snap and go that fits most infant carrier.
I got the peg perego, because they has side impact protection and I was putting both girls by the window.
But I hear Graco is rated really high too (in terms of safety)

I agree. With Peg, you are paying for elite status and not much else to be totally honest. I had a Graco with my first...LOVED it. Lightweight, easy to use and not a single problem.

Re: What's better? Peg Perego or Graco?
I feel that the Peg is worth the extra money. Kiera's stroller is over 2 years old now and it is still in great condition with no problems to report. I find it easy to use and fold up.

The guy at BBB said Peg Perego is like the SUV, and Graco is good, but not the "luxury"

I borrowed a graco snug ride from my sil and bought a peg stroller. The snug ride fit very easily in it.
