What's everyone up to?

Just checking in w/ everyone. This board has been very quiet lately.
I'm still waiting for my 3 months to be up from when I had my shots, so I can start again.
In the beginning I was mourning what I had lost. Then I (for the most part) started to look forward, while still having my bad days of being sad. Now I'm starting to go backwards b/c I'm not able to go forward until we get the ok from the dr which won't be for like another month. Chat Icon It's just so frustrating... Just wanted to see where everyone else is at and how everyone's feeling. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hi girls Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm kind of in a holding pattern too, MrsM. I started new medication this month, so we're taking some time off to let it take effect. Waiting around doing nothing seriously stinks Chat Icon

ETA: De, I think that you might start to feel a little better once you see your doc next month & have a firm plan in hand. In the meantime, please hang in there & fm me if you need to chat Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Hi ladies! I've been sort of in limbo as well, AF has been so irregular and imposible to track. It's very frustrating. I just got AF this morning so hopefully I can begin a new cycle of TTC!

Re: What's everyone up to?

I'm here and kind of in limbo as well.....I am waiting on AF. I'm 5 weeks post mc now, and I think she will be here tomorrow or the day after. Thank God, because the waiting has been so frustrating.

I have good days and bad. Last night I dreamed about a little girl standing at my front door waiting for me to let her in....Chat Icon I picked her up and held her while peeking in the mirror to see what we looked like together...then her parents came and I had to give her back....so I woke I feeling blue today.

Re: What's everyone up to?

I'm at the end of my 2ww, I don't think I am pregnant, I don't have my usual symptoms, but we'll see. Onto IVF after this.

Next Tuesday is my due date, Election Day. I really can't wait for it to be over for both reasons! Chat Icon Chat Icon

On the good side, I will be on vacation in sunny Florida with my BFF so it will be a huge distraction. I know it would be harder if I was home.

I was thinking earlier today that I wondered if it would be helpful (to some if not all) to have a 'buddy' who lives near you (or not) that you could reach out to when you're feeling down/low... or if someone is going thru something similar (ie: me having to take methotrexate and maybe someone else that had to as well). Someone that you can actually call and (if you're comfortable w/ it) GTG w/ for coffee or dinner or whatever- one who truly understands what you're going thru.
Lately I feel as though my family has forgotten that I was ever pg. Chat Icon None of them ask me how I am or what we're up to... and I don't know if it's b/c they don't know what to say or if it's that they're past it, even though I'm not. There's a diff. between prying and checking in, you know? I know- it's such a sensitive subject, but they don't even give me the inkling that they're wondering... except my mom. I don't know what I'd do w/o her. Even DH has moved on and is looking forward and keeps telling me I should be as well- like it's that easy.
I just want to start again. To move past this and begin to look forward..... Chat Icon

Re: What's everyone up to?

Shannon, you may start to feel a little better once you really begin your next cycle, it did help me a lot. And I have to say, I will be excited to move onto IVF, I feel like it will be the right thing for me. I didn't feel that way a few weeks ago, but I do now.

I'll be a buddy, I think it's a great idea!

I agree. We've been trying on our own and w/ an RE for 4 1/2 years..... so sitting out cold turkey for 3 months is not at all helpful to me b/c TTC has become my 'norm'. Chat Icon I think once we start again I'll be able to look forward. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: What's everyone up to?

Just spoke to the DR yesterday and she told me my beta went into the negatives so we got the OK to start trying immediately (posted on TTC board).

I haven't gotten AF yet, so I'm using an OPK to see what my cycle is doing before she shows up. So, who knows this month. But we're giving it a shot!

I hear ya. We went to a 1st birthday party and then a baby shower (both on the same day). It was rough, especially the 1st one. The 2nd one was for a good friend of mine (who also dealt w/ IF and had a m/c) and though sad for me I was glad to be a part of that for her. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Grrrrrrr... I accidently refreshed and lost what I wrote! Chat Icon

Anyway, I was saying I totally agree with Patty. Once I was able to cycle again I felt better as I was able to put all my focus and energy into that cycle. It really helped me to move past it. I think the fact you've had to take such a long break is what makes it that much harder.

I can't say it's totally gone away, I still think about it all the time, especially now that I'm only 5 weeks away from what would have been my due date. It's something that is going to stay with you forever.

It must be so hard to be stuck on the bench like that for 3 months....how much longer do you have to go?

We're 2/3 of the way there.... but it still feels like forever away. I'm going to call my nurse next week to see if I can go in a little early to see if I ovulated (since I very rarely do on my own) and if she lets me do the bloodwork and I haven't she'll give me provera to bring on AF.
As long as I've paid my $$$ up front Chat Icon, once AF arrives I'll be allowed to start a FET cycle, and hopefully by done before Christmas. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: What's everyone up to?

I'm just starting the 2WW.

I have a good feeling about this month but we'll see.

It's been 4 months since my D&C.

I am almost 4 months out from my m/c and D&E, and life is ok. I just want to be pg again. DH and I are going the PGD/IVF route to select for a baby that is healthy, without Fragile X.
Our first cycle failed -- the healthy embie we put back didn't grow as well as the dr would have liked, but we took a chance anyways. We are just starting #2! I am hoping that this is our cycle.
My EDD is right after Thanksgiving, so, it keeps popping into my mind lately. I feel better though since we are trying again.
I am really trying to stay positive and focus on just me and DH and not think about all the other BS in my life or all the stress at work.
