whats more expensive blacktop or cement?
and if its a big price difference, about how much?

Def cement for many reasons its durability. black top you have to keep up with, and it needs a lot of maintenance to keep it "clean" looking. You get your moneys worth with cement and your house value will increase as well!!!! Its a wise investment. and yes it looks much better.

that makes sense too. its not for me, its for my friends family, who plans to sell the house in a few years. so the investment may make it worth it. thanks. ( :

Yeah it may make it worth it but if they're selling in a couple of yrs I would go with blacktop - its cheaper and I really dont think a cement driveway is going to make them a lot more $ when they sell. They could always ask a relator for their opinion - they are the pros

Hi that is exactly what we did. We asked a realtor and a real estate lawyer- ( they are in the family) and they said it very well makes a big difference in the house value even if they are selling in a couple of years and live here on long island. The prices are just gonna keep going up and up for houses. Cement/blocks is prime for patios, walk ways and driveways. Its instinct ching ching in your investment. You will get more in return.
