What's the difference between 3dt and 5dt?
Can anyone explain the difference between the two? How do they decide which type of transfer to do?

the embryo is more developed at 5 days, and should be a blastocyst
they usually do 5 days if you have more embryos and they look good
each re/clinic has their own perspective on 3 and 5 d txs

Two days!!!
Every RE is different...some prefer 5 day (I think East Coast is big on 5dt) and some 3 day (I know LIIVF is a 3dt)...
The theory for either is growth factor as AP said.
Some RE's feel that growing in the co-culture is better for the embies and other's feel it's better for them to be back in the uterus and grow in the lining.

not necessarily, I am currently pregnant after a 3dt

I really wanted a 5dt at first but I think this is true. You have to defer to the lab as I think what they are most comfortable with will give you the best result.

Not at all...there is no proof statistically that one is better than the other...It really comes down to the Drs. preference.
I got PG on a three day transfer.
