I feel like all these smptoms are ariseing now in my 3rd trimester. I have these cramps and I don't know if I should call the doc. or not. they feel like menstrual cramps. Anyone have these? I really hope I'm not contracting. I can't sleep from it! Crazy!!!Thanks for your support ladies!

Hmmm..I would say if they are not allowing you to sleep that you should call your dr. Contractions can definetely feel like cramps. Good luck!

Re: what's the difference between cramps and contractions
I too have crazy cramps now in the thrid trimester. I'm going to the doctor today. When I've actually felt contractions, it feels like my entire belly tightens and feels like it's being sucked into my belly button. Weird, I know.

Re: what's the difference between cramps and contractions
I'm starting these since yesterday but my belly doesn't tighten (those sound like BH) but mine is very low cramping and I feel pain when I get up from a seated position.

I have the exact same thing...mine is an uncomfortable cramping very low in my pelvis (but not painful enough to keep me awake...just alittle uncomfortable) and also the tightening of my whole belly every once in a while.

Re: what's the difference between cramps and contractions
thanks for the info. I finally was able to sleep but woke up to a phone call from my OB telling me I failed the 1 hour. So......yeah not the best morning by far. Oh well. Things could def. be worse. The cramps went away for now. Just numb hands and arms. HAHA

Re: what's the difference between cramps and contractions
i think cramps are normal in the third trimester. you should only be concerned if you are getting 4 or more an hour or they follow some sort of pattern!!
