We found out at 12 weeks but I almost wish I didn't know then because for the next 8 weeks I was constantly doubting that it was really a boy.

I think most techs won't tell you before the level 2.

Re: whats the earliest you can learn the sex of the baby

The earliest you could find out for sure would probably be from a CVS test, which is done at about 11 weeks. It could still be another 2 weeks for results. This is not a test that you would want to do just for that purpose. It is invasive and it has risks. So far, none of my sonograms have given me the "money shot." I found out the sex of my baby Chat Icon at 17 weeks from having had an amnio at almost 16 weeks. I did the amnio for other reasons, but I got the added benefit of learning the sex. I At 20 weeks, I hope to actually see the boy parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found out at my ultrascreen. But I was told to wait to buy anything. This was confirmed again at a 14+ sonogram..but I didnt really believe it until the Level II.

my dr. was pretty sure I was having a boy at 14 weeks. He said its either a boy or labial swelling on a girl...but he was convinced it was boy parts!
