What's the "in" gift for 4yo boys?
I have 2 birthday parties for 4 year old boys. I am at a loss as usual. God help me if I have a son. I won't know what to do with him.

webkinz, spongebob, video games, books and puzzles, outdoor sporty things like better batter baseball... lacrosse sticks, soccer balls.. ben 10 figures, dinosaur toys HTH

I've been to several 4yo parties lately (DS turned 4 in May, and several of his daycare classmates are having parties). They love a lot of the new movies. (Even if they don't watch the movie, they love the merchandising). Transformers, SpiderMan 3, Cars, TMNT. Cars and trucks are always a big hit, especially ones they can crash and smash (either strong enough to withstand abuse, or intentionally designed to do something when crashed).

My 4yo nephew LOVES dinasaurs and TMNT. So much so that they have a turtle (excuse me, tortoise  ) names Leo.
For his 4th birthday, one of his gifts from us was a dinasaur set in a personalized box from Lillian Vernon. He loved it!

My son just turned 4 and apparently "Moon Sand" is the big gift this year. He got 5 of 'em.  He also got a couple of bug hunting things  which, unfortunately for me, he loves.

I hate Moonsand but my kids like it. Maybe its my kids but it's so much messier than they claim. My DS likes building toys like Gears and K'nex. He also likes Transformers. Bookstore gift certificates and/or books is my new fave gift to give. You can't go wrong there IMO
