What's the proper house warming timing etique?

are you suppose to have a house warming within certain time frame? or it's still ok to do a yr after? Chat Icon

..we've been in the house about 3 months now.. I have invited friends over already, however, it's not an official house warming... I just feel that I want to have the house "perfect" before I throw at party, I don't even have all of my window treatments up, the dining room is still empty....

We moved in, in June and had the housewarming in Sept.
I just wanted the rooms all to be set up and the house to look nice.
It was a lot of fun.Chat Icon
