eta DH still thinks Jaws & the Exorcism are scary. He has to hold the remote to watch them so he can flip the channel for safety.
It's strange that I always forget about Jaws...while it's not what I would call a horror movie, it's probably the one that had me scared for the longest time. For years I was certain that whenever I was in the water, the sharks would come.

Oooooh, you just reminded me of another 80's scary movie - POLTERGEIST!!!! 
This movie petrified me for most of my childhood!!!!!

Anything psychological is scarier to me than just gore
ditto. I actually like slasher/serial killer/psycho movies.. it's the ones that disturb you mentally (esp. with ghosts) that I can't stand

I actually didn't find The Ring scary at all. I didn't really understand what was so scary about it.

I had a friend that used to talk about the Tiology of Terror and how scared he was of the doll. Of course he was a kid when he saw it, and when we watched it in college, it had kinda lost it's edge. But I still used to try to find one like it so I could stick it his romm.

OMG! I saw that movie with my dad when I was in 3rd or 4th grade I think and I couldn't sleep for WEEKS...I thought that doll was gonna stab me from under the bed!

The site reminded me of some of the other movies that had scenes that gave me the willies: the end of "Blair Witch", the scene in "The Shining" with the twins:'Come play with us Danny', Zelda in "Pet Cemetary", and "The Others" had it's moments.

Exorcist is still one of the scariest movies I've ever seen... I still don't like to watch it by myself even though I know exactly what is going to happen
scared the crap out of me!!!!!! scared to death of that movie cause it can happen in reality to people. you never know
