What's your exercise routine for the week?

I can't seem to get into a routine where I feel like I am doing everything I'd like to.

Ideally I'd like to run 2-3x a week, as well as do a cardio sculpt class, pilates class and bootcamp class but I just can't fit everything in.

what's your routine?

Oh, realistically, I can only go to the gym 3-4 x a week max and running other days is out.

I feel the same way! In a perfect world I would run 3 times a week, weight lift 3 times and do pilates 1 time.

But really I probably run 2 days, weight lift 2 day and pilates 1 day :( If I am training for a race I scale back on the other activities

My routine is:

Sunday: long run (10-13 miles)
Monday-Thursday (7-8 miles)
Friday:off
Saturday: (4-6 miles)

I know I should cross train, but running is so much easier (I don't belong to a gym and do not have a bike - I will start swimming though once school ends.). I used to lift 2x a week, but recently stopped when my gym membership expired.

I have been running since I was about 14 and it just kinda stuck.

About a year and a half ago I would run like 5 miles at the most and then one day I decided to go like 5 minutes longer mainly because I was like 5 minutes is barely anything. That trend gradually continued and before I knew it, I was at 13 miles this winter.

Trust me, at one point in my life, I never thought I would run over 3.1 miles. Find a running buddy and have them go like .25 miles further and then another .25 miles further. I really believe anyone can eventually work up to it, you just have to have the mindset that you can do it. Lame, but true.

3-4 mile run
One hour of Yoga/Pilates

Wednesday
One hour boot camp

Thursday
40 mins elliptical
personal pilates session on either tower or reformer

Friday
Off

SAturday
3-4 mile run
one hour mat pilates with the ring

Sunday - Off or light bike ride

Monday -3 mile run and weight training

Tuesday - 3 mile run

Wednesday - 3 mile run and weight training

Thursday - 3 Mile run

Friday - Run with weight training or yoga.

Saturday - Long Bike ride

It depends on what time of year too. I ride my bike a lot more in the summer.

Gosh I am so all over the place it's hard to say I even have a routine Chat Icon

I run 5 days a week, try to strength train 2 days a week (total body) and do pilates at least once a week.

4-5 days of 40 minutes cardio
1-2 40 minute weight sessions
Long hikes with DH on weekends

lately it's been:

Monday - 1 hr step/weights interval class
Tuesday - off
Wednesday - dance class, 60 - 90 minutes
Thursday - 1 hr sports conditioning class (running drills, circuit training)
Friday - either dance or off
Saturday - dance class (well 2 really back to back) - 3 hours. First 90 minutes is all hip hop; second 90 minutes is devoted to barre work, various core work and lyrical jazz
Sunday - whatever I feel like doing - walk, jog - as long as it's not in a class, i'm good.

I try to do cardio 4-5 days a week (about 40-minute sessions)... of those at least 2-3 are running on the treadmill, the days in between I use the elliptical or bike.

I also use the weight machines every other day for both upper & lower body (I'm trying to build up some strength & tone)

I'm also really into stretching & try to stretch at least 20 mins every day... since doing this I've felt so much better & have had fewer injuries.

i don't belong to a gym...so I am usually just running

I run one long run, which depends on the next race I'm running - 6-12m

again, depending on training schedule, I'll run 3-5 days during the week ~4-5 m

Sun: 6-7 mile run - outside - about an hour
Mon: upper body (arms and back) and abs one hour
Tues: 3-4 mile run - HIIT hill and flat on treadmill (30 minutes) and stability work (20 minutes)
Wed: 4 mile run - on treadmill - sometimes I do intervals (about 40 minutes if I do intervals, 30 if I run straight) and stability work (20 minutes)
Thurs: legs, hips and abs
Fri: bis, tris and deltoids (30 minutes) and 3 mile run on tread (25 minutes)
Sat: rest (sometimes I ride my bike or do small things like catch with a medicine ball, etc.

Sunday - Total body workout about 1.5 hours and then 45minutes of cardio - anything but running.

Monday - 5 mile speed workout

Tuesday - 1 Hour spin class in the AM and 1 Hour Pilates Mat class in the PM

Wednesday - 6-7 outside hill run and core and strenthtraining - Whatever I skipped on the Sunday workout.

Thursday - Half of spin class - 30 minutes and a 30 minute plyometics workout.

Friday - REST

Saturday - Long Run - When not training 10-13 miles...When training 10-23 miles.

I just got back to working out after 8 weeks postpartum and I feel awesome.

My routine is:

3 days weight training

2 days running(anywhere from 3 to 5 miles)

3 mile walk with my DS about 4 - 5 times a week

can't wait to be where you ladies are

all i do is walk the dog 30minutes every day. with a busted ankle/knee/hip, it's all i can do until some weight comes off.

so far, i've lost 8lbs Chat Icon

Before getting pg I was spinning Tues, Thurs Sat and Sun.

Now I have cut back to either Sat and/or Sun
