I never ever bought the ones that were JUST meat. I couldn't even imagine the smell, opening those up. I used to buy the "dinners", like Earth's Best had a chicken/sweet potatoes combo, I swear when you opened it you didn't even smell chicken, it smelled like sweet potatoes. Same thing with the turkey/vegetable one.

DD wasn't a fan of the meats by themselves.

But her absolute favorite was the gerber chicken and apples. It was the one thing I could get her to eat when she didn't want to eat anything.

Never gave them to DD. The thought of jarred meat just Chat Icon

I know alot of people will puree their own meats, I never did. I started off giving DD pieces of chicken or turkey from soup that I made so that it was really soft.

My DD doesn't really like the one's that are already mixed dinners...so I buy the plain one's and mix it with a veggie myself. I have used gerber and beechnut. Beechnut looks better to me but she doesn't seem to have a preference. They don't smell good and cleaning it off of her face is pretty gross too.

Ick! They are NASTY! My ped said most babies he knows wouldn't eat them so he said we could try them if we wanted but we could also go right to table food. I tried one jarred meat meal and my DD refused. I don't blame her. Gross! We just gave her meatloaf, meatballs, shredded chicken, etc. instead.

Chicken Apple Compote, there's a chicken something risotto, basically poultry is going over ok but beef he will not eat. I tried to puree my own dinners but I can't get it ground as much as the jars. he gags on every bite!

I only tried the meats by themselves to see if he would have any reaction to them. After 3 days with no reaction, I only bought the mixed dinners. DS's favorites were chicken with apples and sweet potato and turkey

Same here, we only give the combo ones. Earth's Best has a bunch of different ones. The Gerber combos smell better though.

I skipped the Stage 2 plain meats because I opened 1 jar and it made me sick! We went straight to the Stage 3 meals and she does pretty good with those. Chicken & Turkey are the ones I give her most, but the beef & veggies I gave her the other night went over really well.

I try all the baby food Chat Icon and imo, the earth best combs were the best. Ds loved the chicken tomato pasting and chicken and sweet potato best.
