What's your secret for yummy pancakes
I always follow the box but they never taste as good as the diner's. Am I missing something. How do they get them tasting so cake like?

You can add things to them like chocolate chips or mush up banans and make banana pancakes.

Re: What's your secret for yummy pancakes
I have a homeade recipe....very yummy...I add chocolate chps, and other goodies....
2 Eggs 2 Cups Milk 4T Oil 2 Cups Flour 2T Sugar 2T Baking Powder 1T Salt
Mix it all up and cook it on the griddle.
I make them and freeze them so if the kids want pancakes for breakfast they can pop them in the toaster. It is homemade and better for your family than the box kind. HTH
T=Tablespoon...Sorry....

Re: What's your secret for yummy pancakes
A few things Ive done to make great pancakes. Absolutely make sure the griddle is hot. sprinkle a few droplets of water on and if they dance, you know it's good and ready.
Never flip the pancakes more than 1x
I've also substituted club soda for the water in the recipe and that makes them so fluffy. I cant even remember where I got the idea but I tried it one day and they were the fluffiest ever.
I sometimes add cut up banana and cinnamon, which my kids love.

Add a pinch of nutmeg and some cinnamon. That makes them really yummy!
You could also try ginger and cinnamon, though I haven't made them that way.

I was going to suggest this. Seltzer water in the batter makes them very fluffy.
