What's your "thing"?
What is the thing(s) that you don't mind spending money on, even if it's pricey, because you know that you'll really use it and get joy from it?
For me it's:
Handbags - I've been obsessed since I could walk. LOL You can't go wrong with any classy, timeless bag.
Kitchen anything - Since I love to cook/bake I feel like really good, high quality tools, appliances, pots, pans, etc. are worth their weight in gold. They really make a difference in how your food turns out.
How about you? What is your thing?

Flying first class. Any flight over 4 hours, I refuse to sit in coach. I'm a terrible flyer, so I feel like anything I can do to make it more enjoyable for myself is worth it.

Fake hair. Extensions, wigs, I'm obsessed. I love having the option of different styles, lengths, colors- with no work and no damage to my own hair. Plus I always had fine, shittty hair that never held all the fun styles everyone was getting and never grew past my shoulders. Now I can have dream hair every day if I want with no styling at all.

Re: What's your "thing"?
I'm a handbag whore too.... always have been, always will be... you can gain 20 pounds in a pandemic the bag still works
I also like shoes- I do flats now - Rothys, Tieks I just like them they fit great, they last to me they are worth the cost
I will also participate in any school fund raiser PTA thing for my kids- I participate and I go hard to me it's for a good cause, I hate asking people to buy stuff so I go nuts

Re: What's your "thing"?
i am cheap!! let me put it out there. i will work twice as hard to do anything just to save a penny. that being said... the reason i even have "things" is because i learned the hard way that some things are worth spending money on.
* kitchen stuff. i'm no where near the wiz in the kitchen that hofstra is, but i really enjoy the kitchen and i love feeding the people i love. a quality tool makes the process so much more fun.
* yarn and the tools that go with it. as the memes go, life is too short to knit with the cheap yarn. i love how a quality tool feels, how the yarn will glide. also, i'm going to be touching this yarn for HOURS while i make an item. i do not want to hate the process because the yarn is cheap and scratchy. yuck.
* in recent years, i've learned to love a good handbag. i don't go nuts, and i buy previous seasons' bags... but quality is quality. i can't believe i spent so many years carrying plastic.

Travel. I am not into "things" anymore. I would rather spend my money on experiences. Anything that will create special memories.

Re: What's your "thing"?
Oh also, clothes. All kinds. And I don't buy expensive items because I'd rather have quantity than quality. If it lasts me a season, I'm fine because next year I'll want something new anyway. I get too bored of clothes to spend $300 on a sweater that will last me forever.
I recently cleaned out some closets and I'm embarrassed to say the number of dresses I had. I pared it down big time but I still have more clothes than I can ever wear... but I still continue to buy.

Re: What's your "thing"?
Socks. Love any fun patterns.
Cats. Literally anything with cats on it. My kitchen and things in my house are cat themed. I have cat pillow cases, cat clocks, cat tissue holders, cat mugs, cat mats, cat bags, cat pencil holders, cat socks, cat glassware, you get the idea…
Glassware and nice plates. I have a lot, so I stopped buying a few years ago. But I’m a sucker for nice wine glasses.
Kitchen stuff, but not useless stuff.

Re: What's your "thing"?
Jewelry for me. The fancier the better (Not gaudy... but timeless and classy). A lot of it I can't even wear daily. I have my jewelry that I wear daily, but a lot of it is for special occasions. We never really have anywhere fancy to go, but just having it brings me joy.

I'll FM you in case you can't find this response later... but Chelsey Smith Cosmetics. So much fun! And affordable... not $1000 wigs or anything like that!

What's your
My hair. I love my highlights. They are pricey and I refuse to give them up. I also spend a lot on hair treatments and products to keep it looking healthy.

There is a LV that I'm dying for. Love a good handbag. I'll have to check out Mercari, thanks for mentioning it.
