Re: What's your "thing"?

Normally I’d say nothing but I just spent a lot on a good treadmill because
I’m hoping to get in shape & I have no time to go to a gym. Hopefully it’ll prove to be worth it!

High end bags...just recently started collecting higher end designer bags. Got my eye on a few Chanel and Celine bags I need but I buy second hand and have found some amazing deals on Mercari and similar sites.

There is a LV that I'm dying for. Love a good handbag. I'll have to check out Mercari, thanks for mentioning it.

Mercari is great just make sure it's authenticated or you know how to tell its real. Tradesy is another great place to get high end bags. All their merchandise is guaranteed authentic. I bought a Louis from their site complete with dustbag and box.

Never mind, I looked at the site.

Bags used to be my thing too, until I had kids lol. I still bought a few but cheaper ones, like Coach and MK.
I got my LV in Bermuda 27 years ago and still use it and still use my Gucci bag from my honeymoon on a regular basis as a cross body.

This was me before pandemic. Also because I used to have a cleaning lady every 2 weeks. Now I can't do manicures because my nails would chip fast with all the chores Chat Icon But for the original question, we love to travel and usually do it first class. We are getting spoiled on that. Also massages.

I love my Coach bags too. I bought one a few months ago and the leather is butter. It's one of my faves. When buying LV I tend to lean more vintage. The quality of the newer bags has gone down significantly IMO. We bought my mom a speedy a while ago and within a year it was falling apart...very disappointing.

My LV is a piece of crap. I forget which one it is. It's not a speedy or a neverfull. Its a handbag that I loved and wanted so much. My DH paid $2k for it at Saks. The leather rim is all cracked. The handle ripped off and had to be repaired. I am not an animal with my bags. I have no idea how that even happened. I took it to Saks for them to send to LV for repair. When I tell you the photography that took place of the damage was on par with photographing a homicide scene, I am not even exaggerating. It was absurd. But it had to be done for LV approval to repair the bag. Um...excuse me? Fix your garbage product. When I said Coach does it no questions asked, I got a whole story about how Coach are mass manufactured whereas these are not. Yeah, okay. Regardless, they fixed it.

The other day when I was in the airport, I noticed how many people lug the LV carry on and I just thought how its such a status thing but meanwhile its a vinyl piece of garbage duffle bag.

Pre-kids, my "thing" was definitely bags. Now it's travel. I love getting away and staying at nice hotels.
