3 years old per my sister and my SIL who are a hygenist and a dentist respectively.

My ped told me 12 months (Emma is 18 and we went today). I've read that 1 year or when they first get teeth is the norm these days.

3 yrs old. The AAP is suggesting 1 yr old but professionally I think that's too young. I see most of my patients around 3

I took my son for the first time at 3-1/2  Luckily he has great teeth and no cavities (doesn't take after me!). I will be taking my DD as soon as she turns 3 this spring.

My ped told me to take DD at 2 (now), but I don't think she will understand, so I will probably take her closer to 3.
