I still do and I'm 23 weeks. Your body will tell you when you should stop. You'll feel uncomfortable or have difficulty breathing.

I'm 31 weeks and still sleep on my back. I always start out on my left side, but wind up on my back during the night. I try to keep myself propped up so I'm not lying flat down. When it gets uncomfortable, I switch back over to my left side.

umm never stopped? 
If it got uncomfy on one side or the other I'd flip over but sometimes it felt SOOO good on my back I just propped one hip or the other and stayed there.
Doc said my body would force me to move if I had to.
Heck I was still popping my back (twisting one leg over the other hip) up to about 34weeks.
Just my $0.02

I would still be sleeping on my back if my  didn't "karate chop" me every time I do  Around 20 W she decided she wasn't a big fan of me on my back!

at 24 weeks, I still do. Your body will let you know when it's time to move.

I'm 32 weeks and I still sleep on my back. I have a back injury, and it's one of the few positions that's still comfortable for me.
My OB said it was fine with her. The only problem I'm starting to have is that my back KILLS when I wake up--probably from the extra 4 lbs. or so laying directly on my spine.

I fall asleep on my left side but end up on my back at some point and then i turn onto my right side..
