When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
When was dinner the last meal of the day? I am thinking of giving her food, then her bottle, then bath, then bed.
Right now I do food, then bath, then bottle, then bed.
She is 9 months.

Re: When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
I'm not so sure, but I'm finding it difficult to eliminate it, cuz usually they fall asleep while drinking it. Mine are 11 months old.

Yeah, mine too. That is what I am trying to break.
But I am also afraid she will wake up and want to eat earlier.

I don't know but please try to break it as soon as possible. We are having a hard time with that too and she is 16 months old almost 17 months old and still needs her night time bottle Now it's going to be so much harder to break.

Re: When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
It really depends. I usually give Sara her last bottle about 1/2 hour after dinner, sometimes she falls asleep with it and other nights she plays for a while.
Tonight for example Sara had dinner around 5: 45 , and then a bottle at 6:30 but fell asleep. Last night she had a bottle at 7:00 but played until 8:00 and then went o sleep. I really dont think she needs that 4th bottle anymore though. I am confused

I give Emma her last bottle before bed too - She'll have a bottle, we read a story, then I put her in her crib awake.
So I'm not sure?

Re: When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
Emily is resisting her bedtime bottle big time and I was stressing about it. I didn't even think of eliminating it. I am going to need to ask the dr. about this. Right now she's averaging about 3 oz of the bedtime bottle -- and I offer her 7 because that is what she used to eat.
We're also having a really hard time getting her to bed. She used to go to bed around 7:45-8pm and now it's around 9:15. It's driving me crazy!

Re: When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
Well, I never used a bottle, but my daughter still gets a bedtime nursing at 17 months. So not yet is the answer for me!

Jack was off the bottle completely by age 1 and I think around 10 or 11 months I elimated the bedtime bottle.

Re: When did you eliminate the bedtime bottle?
I still give Jacob one... (he's 8 mths old)dont plan on eliminating it just yet. It is the only time during the day that i actually hold him and feed him, so I am not ready to give that up yet. It is the time of day when I stare at him, sing to him, and tell him that he will never ever know how much I love him, until he has his own baby one day. It is our time...
