When did you first give the taste of chocolate?
At DS's 12 month ped appointment, the dr still said 'no chocolate'.
But when can he start tasting things with chocolate? For instance, DH just made a cake for MIL's birthday that has chocolate frosting. Should I still keep DS away from it? He's 13 1/2 months and loves to eat EVERYTHING.

My Ped. never mentioned chocolate. I think my mom let him try it around 11 months. She does things like that. I think you could let him try a little.

I let my kids have a taste of everything. I let them taste chocolate as early as 2 months old

DS loves chocolate too! I usually give him a chocolate chip cookie as a snack before bed if he eats a good dinner. And he knows when it's time b/c he runs to his high chair, climbs in and says "coookieeee"

MY kids had chocolate at 3 months!!! and they still have it!!!!!
Caden James had his first chocolate at 7 months!!!!
Theres nothing wrong with sampling unless you lknow of allergies!!!!

It was before 12mos...maybe 10mos? something like that...it was a peice of a chocolate chip cookie.
My peid said anything is ok to eat once they turn a year. Funny how they're all different!
