When did you first offer meat to your DC?

DS has been eating cereal, fruit and veggies for 2.5 months. I was wondering what comes next.

Around 8.5 months-just try one at a time

My DD is 8 months old and just starting on Stage 2 foods. I asked my sister the other day because I noticed that they have jars of stage 2 "dinner" pureed meats, etc. She's a pedicatrican, and pretty laid back with her own baby when it comes to foods, but she told me not until 9 months old.

around 6 months once we started stage 2 foods. They have some meat ones.

Sadie is 8.5 months and I havent given her meat yet. She goes to the ped wed. and I will ask then.

Chicken at 6 months, red meat and pork, never. We don't eat that.

I think around 7-8 months

I pureed all different types as I was giving them to him & would just stir a frozen defrosted cube into a jar of veggies (or veggies I had made & frozen). I never bought any jars with the meat in them.

I haven't given them any kind of meat yet and they are 9 months.
When they do eat meat, it will only be chicken and turkey.

I give it to DD in the mixed jars of food, she is 6 months old

Ped gave us the ok @ 6 months.. We probably started a few weeks after that. We have only given her chicken and I make it and then freeze it in big batches. I mix it with veggies (carrots and parsnips or sweet potatoes). It seems to be her favorite!

I never gace DS jarred meat, it just grossed me out. I did start giving him chopped meat (meatballs) and small pieces of chicken around 8 months I believe.

I started DS's on chicken at 8 months.
I gave him chicken for 2 weeks, then I moved on to Turkey. I have not given him beef yet. I am waiting until he is 9 months in a few days to start beef.

I was grossed out by the idea of jarred or pureed meats. I started giving DS meat once he was eating table foods, which was around 8-9 months.

Liam every night has the "dinners" so he has meat. Probably since he was 7 mos. He loves them. I'm given him some small pieces of real chicken & beef, so far so good.

Ped said poultry at 7 months, so far he's had chicken and turkey. We don't eat pork really so it hasn't come up. Don't know about red meat though, I didn't ask...guess I will at his 9 mos appt.

we started at 6 months... ds LOVED THEM... but only the gerber brand meats... he hated beech nut

My ped had us start on them when DS was about 5.5 months old.

He ate them for a while, but not he doesn't eat meat at all except for chicken nuggets

We moved to the stage 2 foods at 6 months and some of them had meat in them. We did the fruits first so probably around 7 months or so we did the dinners with the meat in them.
