when did you go for baby's first pro-photos?

Luca will be one month old this week and we haven't gone for professional pictures yet. I'm wondering if I should just to holiday ones or if I should get baby ones and then holiday ones too.
How old was your child the first time you took them for pictures?

Personally I would just take the holiday pictures now.....but what do I know, Logan's first professional picture is at 7 months

i took Alexa for her first photos this past week. She is 8 weeks. I did these for the birth annoucement and I'm going to go again after Thanksgiving to get her holiday ones done.

We used Luca's hospital photo for the announcedments- my FIL works for the company so we had them done for free, even though I don't love the picture.
Do you think they would let me bring two outfits and change him? One for his first baby pics, and then another outfit for hiliday pictures?

we are having a photograhper come to the house 12/1- Maddie will be about a month old.

Julia was 5 months at last years christmas, so we got them done then.

Jack was about 3months old. I would probably wait, the portrait studios are so crazy right now, lots of kids not sure you would want to bring baby around that. Also they have less patience and with a newborn it takes a while. I would say make an appointment in Jan.

ETA: If you go now to Target, I would try and make 2 appointments since they are only giving 10 minute appointmnets.

I'm getting professional shots done in early December, he'll be 3 months old.

We took Megan for fall pictures at Kiddie Kandids when she was almost 2 months old.

We just took her to sears for her christmas pictures and she is almost 3 months old.

They cant do much with infants, so its up to you. My sisters boyfriend is a photographer and he is bringing his stuff to the house next weekend and taking some more holiday shots. She may respond to him better since she knows him. If she doesnt, we will use one of the Sears shots for a christmas card.

We went 2 weeks ago for the first time. He was a week from turning one.

Niko is 5 1/2 wks old, and we decided not to take him to have any pro-pictures done this Christmas. He's so colicy lately, and I'd hate to go through all the trouble of taking him somewhere only to have him crying or sleeping, which is about all he does these days I know that everyplace will be packed and I'd be annoyed to just get "ok" pics of him that are . plus I know they really cannot do much with him at this young age really in terms of propping him up and stuff

We'll try to take some nice shots of him ourselves in his holiday outfits, and make cards ourselves..

DD was 11 days old the first time but that was for a 5 generation photo. The next time was when she was 1 month old. We take her monthy(for the first year) for pictures, I know I am crazy

At 4 1/2 months. We did his christening photos.

I had someone come to the house at 4 weeks. I tried taking her to her studio but that was a disaster so she offered to come to the house. Then we did holiday pictures when she was about 9 weeks old.

We had a family photo taken of several generations at my Aunt's house when Ellie was 4 weeks old so that was her first. But I took her to Kiddie Kandids at 6 weeks.

we had both girls taken when they were 10 and 11 days old. One at a photo studio and my second at KK. they did a great job. We had her anniuncements made from the kk photo
