when did you have your baby shower?

I still have time, I'm 17 weeks, but my mom is asking about when to have my shower since I'm due August 28th and that would mean the shower would fall during that busy graduation party season and summer party time. I have to work around my SIL who is due right before me and is having her shower second to last week of June - so we were thinking either early June (27-28 weeks) or early July (32-33 weeks). I'm just nervous about doing it too late because I know twins go early and I have this fear of going very early, but is early June too early if I'm due Aug 28? I know I'm obsessing way too much over this...

I believe I had my shower around 29 weeks, I was also scared about going early.

Mine was about a week before I gave birth - around when I was 32 weeks.

Thanks everyone!! I'm leaning towards doing it earlier than later. Just curious about what everyone else w/ twins did.

I had my shower at 32 weeks and I delivered at 38.5 weeks. I loved having the extra time to get ready and to be honest, if it were later, I would have had a hard time getting around! I was a wide load towards the end! LOL

I had mine at 32 weeks and had the babies at 37.

Im having mine in two weeks, I will be 30 weeks.

I had my shower at 33 w 1 day and delivered 33 w 5 days. It was a close call.

I was 29 weeks.

I wanted it around 28-29 weeks, but due to schedule issues I had it earlier at 25 weeks because I wanted to do it early in case I went early. Which was perfect for me. I gave birth at 36 weeks.

I had my shower a week after I gave birth..i gave birth at 29 weeks..so my suggestion would be to have your shower around 28-29 weeks.

Thanks ladies - my mom just booked it for when I am just about 28 weeks.

I know I'm not a mom, but we threw my SIL her baby shower at 28-29 weeks (she would have been 29 weeks on this past Sunday). She delivered her twin sons 2 days before the shower, so she had the shower after the fact. We held her shower at the hospital since she hadn't been discharged yet. She was able to go home afterwards. This all happened last weekend.
