When did you have your DC start wearing shoes?
When they stood? When they started cruising? Walking? And, what kind of shoes? A friend of mine said to get DS "cruiser" shoes because he is starting to cruise across the furniture.

Re: When did you have your DC start wearing shoes?
when he started cruising i put him in the soft robeez shoes. once he started walking i put him in the pre-walker shoes from stride rite, which were still pretty soft. once he was comfortable walking i put him in the regular walkers shoes.

I got my DD stride rite walkers about three months after she started walking. She wore socks (with grips) and robeez until that point.

Re: When did you have your DC start wearing shoes?
Sydnie has been wearing pedipeds (soft soled shoes) since about 9 months when she started standing/cruising. Not all the time, but I wanted her to get used to shoes.
She started wlaking right after her 1st birthday (a month ago) old and once she grows out of these pedipeds I will be getting her walking shoes from Stride Rite (probably next month).

Re: When did you have your DC start wearing shoes?
No shoes for either of my kids until they were full-on walking- and even then only outside. Barefoot is best for new walkers.
Eliza is walking, but only short distances in the house and not at all outside, so no shoes yet for her.
As for getting used to shoes- it took Madelyn all of 20 minutes to get used to wearing shoes the first time I put them on her. She was 15 months old.

ITA all around. DD started walking at 11.5 months, so that's when she started wearing shoes-- outside only. We still only wear shoes outside, not in the house (she's 2 now). Took her no time at all to get adjusted to wearing shoes.
