When did you install your infant seat in car?
I thought maybe you ladies would be able to help.
When did you install the car seat? How many weeks were you?
I don't want to have it in there too early, but I don't want to run out of time.

yup same here.. ended up having it installed when I was in the hospital. I was 2 weeks early and was going to do it that weekend I went in.

We brought it with us to the hospital.....DH installed it while I was in labor...
I was 17 days early!!!!!!

The afternoon I was discharged from the hospital  Athan came over 3 weeks early - needless to say we were so not ready.

DH had the fire department install his while I was in the hospital. I ended up having to drive DS home in my car & I installed the base in my car in the parking lot of Stony Brook a couple of hours before I took him home.

I ended up having an emergency c-section after my 40 week appt. DH went home and got the car seat before I was discharged

I was sent to the hospital for monitoring for preeclampsia and while I finished packing my bag, DH installed the seat

38 weeks, after he was born.
We used our cars to move into our new home and wanted all the space we could, so we didn't put the carseats in at all. We moved on a Thursday night and DS was coming (EARLY!) Friday morning. DH had his installed while I was in the hospital.
I installed my own about 2 weeks pp because the FD no longer installed carseats. (Even though they did DH's a few weeks earlier.)

we did it at about 38 weeks because my DH is absolutly clueless about how to install it and where to get it checked, so that was my job.

Around 36 weeks just in case I went early. DD showed up at exactly 39 weeks!
