when did you start buying baby things

clothes and other things - I havent gotten anything but wondering that maybe now its ok :)

I think at about 19 weeks when we went to BRU we bought a bib. I figure there's so many cute things out there and with the bad return policies we didn't want to buy things too early.
You have to figure that you are going to be getting stuff from others also, so we're trying to hold off until after the shower and then really assess what we need and don't need.

I bought DH a diaper dude at about 10 weeks because it was on sale for 22 dollars from $117!!

I also ordered an elephant shaped wicker hamper that matches the bedding I want last week because it was on sale for $14 from $80.

i'm 21 weeks and only bought a fwe books and things for the nursery. we're doign a Pooh theme so i bought some Pooh books and some Pooh stuffed toys. that's it. we're not finding out, so i am going to wait for my shower and after the baby is born to buy what would be best.

Not until about 30 weeks. I have all of the big items left over from DD. I only needed clothes & small items (blankets, towels etc) so I waited.

I'm 20 weeks and bought nothing yet. Actually I did buy one thing...the bedding blanket (and that is only so DH can find the same green paint to match the nursery colors).


Besides that, nothing. I'd rather wait for my shower first, and we're probably going to start painting the nursery in a few weeks. I also don't want to overbuy anything...I figure they'll need stuff the rest of their life, why start spending now

I am too superstitious to buy anything , I will wait until I get much closer but that's just me. I am not registering until I am in the early 20 week range .

We bought a bib at maybe 14weeks.

This week I ran out and picked up some baby shampoo, lotion, body wash, and powder b/c it was on sale at the PX.

I wont be buying ANYTHING else until we find out the sex in a few weeks. At that point, I'll probably go crazy and DH will kill me

as early as i found it- If it was a great sale.

if it wasnt a big sale, then i didnt buy it cause i'll see what i need after my small shower & ive gotten handme downs from my sister and my best friend from LIF

about 8 months before i got pregnant I have been collecting stuff along the way. I was stupid and actually bought mostly boy things because I just had a feeling my first child would be a boy.. and well, you can say I was sweating during the level 2 to find out the sex. I'm having a boy and couldn't be happier! I would've been out alot of money if it were a girl haha.

I just started over winter break - 22 weeks. I was shopping a lot so it was hard to avoid. I first went with my friend and she kept laughing that I was resisting buying- and she bought a gorgeous dress. Then later on, I went into Old Navy and they had so many things on sale, I couldn't resist! Just got a bunch of onesies that say Queen of Daddy's heart, Daddy's little sweetie and Mommy's little sweetie.

DH is going NUTS with buying stuff, it's so funny and cute. He already got her a Steelers Super Bowl champs bib, a Georgia Bulldogs (his fave college football team) onesie with bib and booties, and today, since he works for Polo Ralph Lauren, he got a personalized polo dress (OMG so cute - with her monogram where the RL monogram is usually placed) and a polo bodysuit.

I bought my first baby thing today at 9 wks 3days a yellow sleeper. It was just so cute.

we bought 1 outfit this weekend, after finding out it's a HE

otherwise, I've picked up a boppy newborn pillow for $9 on clearance in target, giants/mets onesies on clearance for $2, and that's about it.

Now that we know the gender, I went online and started adding some little things to a registry... things we saw at BuyBuyBaby earlier this month, but didn't want to register for until we knew the gender.

About 23 weeks. I just felt funny before that! But, by all means.. start buying now!
