when did you start cheerios/puffs?
Bryan is almost 8 months and I gave him one the other day and he gagged on it the dr said I could try but I dont think he's ready yet.

I got the gerber puffs for Julia (Banana) she likes them. I break them up for her in like little pieces, she still can't feed herself yet so I have to place them on her tonge--lol
Cheerios cant dissolve as good as the puffs.

Right around eight months. He didn't like them at first but he got the hang of it very quickly and now he wants them all the time!!!

My daughter never let me spoon feed her, so we went right to Cheerios at about 8 months. There was no learning curve -- she didn't "learn" to eat them, she just could. So, sounds to me like you should wait a week and try again, one day it will just work.

Sarah gagged when I gave her Cheerios around 8 months, but was fine with the puffs.

I just had a scare with the puffs the other day. I cut them up sooo tiny and fed one to Jared. He started gagging and I grabbed him, flipped him upside down and whacked his back. He vomited everything up but then was okay. No puffs for us for a WHILE..

I actually give Nate the Gerber wheels, he's been eating them since he was 7 months.... He can hold them in his hand and ****/chew on them. I tried the puffs but they end up in his fist and he hasnt figured out how to open his hand to put them in his mouth. He also loves the Gerber biting biscuits.
