When did you start giving your child stage 2??

Just wondering...the boys have been on stage 1 for about 2 months. They are 6 months and was wondering if i should start them on stage 2 or should i wait for the go ahead from my doctor?

I thought it was the 6 month marker. I"m in the same position - boys are 6 months - but I'm just waiting to see the doctor at their next appt.

i did it when we went through all stage 1s and she wanted more food.

We started solids at 6.5-7 months, but i switched at about 8 months.

I just asked this. I was told the biggest difference with Stage 1 and Stage 2 is the portion sizes. I was told to stay away from berries and from foods that sound too much like desserts. I am very conservative with feeding Molly solids so I have been sticking to Stage 1 type foods that I make. She only gets about 1 oz of fruit/veggie per feeding with 3 TB of cereal.
